Annie + Dusty
This spring day at Venue at the Grove couldn't have been more magical. Annie and Dusty focused on complimenting the natural greenery of the venue with whimsical pops of color. Dusty's blue suit was an all time favorite of mine — I hope the color trends never end! The main bouquet florals were styling courtesy of Wild Child Floral Design, and the bride's family supplemented them with silk florals of their own collection. I couldn't believe how seamless it all looked! I loved that they decided to focus on each other and not include a wedding party, something I've seen more and more couples opt to do over the years. They instead chose to get ready surrounded by their families and spent their portrait time with them and each other. The best! In true Arizona fashion it was unbelievably windy, but they were troopers and didn't let the weather distract from the joy of the day. They chose to do their speeches pre-dinner, which on the long Arizona days approaching summer I thought was perfect! This allowed me to get more sneaky candid photos of guests as they listened, laughed and cried (as my flash usually tips them off to what I'm doing when speeches happen after dark!). Annie and Dusty — thank you for being such an effortlessly sweet couple and for sharing your equally sweet family and friends with me.
